Random Photo Friday-family history flowerbed edition

As Heather were on our winter walk a bit ago, we chanced upon a patch of this interesting plant, and I was immediately transported back to 531 C Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, otherwise known as my grandparent's home.

Mom--do you know what this plant is actually called? If not--what about you--Aunts Florence, Lou Jean, Mary Beth, and Rebecca?

I'm not one of the people named, but it looks to me like a type of Sedum. It also looks a little like the foliage of ice plant (scientific name - delosperma)but the fact that it has that reddish tint makes me lean toward sedum.

I'd just take a little piece in to your local nursery and they should be able to match it for you pretty easily.

I've got it in one of my flower beds too, but don't know what it is. Based on Jeri's suggestions, and comparing photos from the internet, I'm leaning toward ice plant. I think the foliage shape matches better than the sedum.
