how could he see the girl and miss those hazel eyes

Lightning Round!

2 points for the name of the song
2 more points for the name of the musical

(other points awarded by whim, as always)

(pictures have nothing to do with the answer, generally speaking)

(I have hazel eyes. Did you know?)
quirky 3-10

Thanks for playing!

I'll have the votes tabulated and a winner announced within the next day or so.

(At the moment I'm out doing a little bit of visiting teaching, so if you don't hear from me for an hour or two--that's why.)

Lily's Hazel Eyes from Secret Garden?

I have hazel eyes too! It's on my driver's license.

Jeff says the photo is Spamalot.

man, I am helping my parents with their taxes and it is really cramping my ability to check this.

I just finished serving dinner to the missionaries. That on top of meetings all afternoon, I feel like I missed everything!

So, I just have to go for a few whim points here.

1. Spamalot is, of course, based on the musical Camelot. I have several memories of the movie version. The first is that I thought Mordred was perfectly frightful. Second, Lancelot played by Franco Nero was the most handsome man ever. He could sing "If ever I would leave you" any time to me (all of 7 at the time). The third memory is that after the movie, I got into my first car accident! My Aunt Marie had taken my sister Carla and me to see the movie after which another car promptly plowed right into us!

2. Send in the Clowns - really you did that without me? I am so sad. I love the big green guy here just after the picture of the Marquee of Shrek the Musical.

Well, I think I have done enough begging for whim points. Thanks for the great ride and fun!! I'm starting now to prepare better for next year - look out Melissa I think several of us are 'gunning' for you! ;-)

Here's a thought - maybe we should all get Melissa to help us with our taxes next year. We could strategically time it to MMM postings!

I believe the "Oldies" (Mom and Dad P.) deserve points here for taking me to see The Secret Garden a couple summers ago. And Jeff babysat, which he definitely deserves credit for--and points too, if you are separating my points and his. :-)

I have hazel eyes, took my kids and mom to The Secret Garden this summer and just finished a marathon day - hoping to end with at least triple digits.

4 non whim points AND a point for having hazel eyes!

a point for spamalot
a point for tending a gaggle of boys while his wife enjoyed what is arguably the best musical of all time.

a point from one accountant to another (you'll notice that MY parents don't ask ME to help them with their taxes. That's because you are a better daughter than I am.)

a point for having your priorities correctly places (hungry missionaries take precedence over MMM)

another point for all the Camelot details

and another sympathy point because you had to miss the Send in the Clowns.

The oldies-
one point for taking their daughter-in-law to see the Secret Garden (perhaps my favorite musical of all time, which surely has something to do with why I used it to end our festivities here.)

a point for hazel eyes
a point for allowing others to share the joy of the greatest musical ever made
another point for completing a marathon day, and still making time to play with us here.

Can I just say how good it felt to get this last one legitimately, because I actually knew the song and the musical? It felt good!
