a quick one-as promised

Are cake doughnuts deep-fried?

Since I prefer the raised variety, I've never given this question very much thought.

But, if they are, in fact deep fried (and I believe they are), then Eric and I are once again on equal footing in our little bet!

Yippee!! Let the ruthless, conniving, trash-talking tactics resume!

I might as well have that gift card in my hot little hand!

trash-talk away - here is what Wikipedia has to say about cake doughnuts: "Cake doughnuts are fried for about 90 seconds at approximately 190°C to 198°C, turning once. Yeast-raised doughnuts absorb more oil because they take longer to fry, about 150 seconds, at 182°C to 190°C." the full link is

You go girl - get that gift card and go crazy!

I think the gift card should definitely go to the brother/brother-in-law in order to punish you both for breaking the deal.

I'll be checking the mail frequently.
